Hi All:

I see a lot of discussion regarding boot XP from external drives. But none of them comes with conclusion. I am wondering if it is possible to make PCMCIA/eSATA Drive bootable for ThinkPad T60p.

I tried USB option. It failed when restart after installation pass-1. I tried PCMCIA/eSATA drive. When installing XP, the PCMCIA/sSATA drive cannot be identified.

Did anyone try this with successful result? Is there any suggestion to let me boot XP from external drive?

Thanks,

Most basic, can you boot to a DOS prompt from it?
