anyone having a problem with sp2 where ea games wont detect that you have directx installed?

ripken, i had a problem when i installed directx october. need for speed carbon didn't run anymore but it was on xp sp2 x86...

no matter what directx i installed on it, i could not install any ea games. and i tried everything that i could that i found on google. so i was forced to use x64 sp1 again... ill just wait for sp2 rtm then, hopefully it is working by then.(thats if it is a sp2 rc problem)

It's a common problem with EA Games. They acknowledged that on their official forum.
