you seriously need to tell us more about what it happening. your internet connection just drops? have you tried raising tcpip limit? limiting upload speed? encryoting the signal so ur isp cant figure out that ur dloading torrents?

If you are restarting the pc not the router, I don't think it can be a slap from your ISP.

the issue would only exist if the connection is encrypted and you have a poor connection, or driver for the card or w/e recieves your signal.
i used to have the problem here at home, but when i moved the computer down here a lot closer to the router, i didn't have a single problem with the encryption...it could also be signal to noise ratio, if theres too much noise over the signal...all can be monitered by the connection manager that came with the card or driver for it...and if not, you may be able to see it in Network Connections, but i can't guarantee it.

But i'm not using wireless lan, i'm using the wire and how come the internet drops on my Pc but my wife's laptop doesn't, cause she's using wireless lan.
My router has WPA2 encryption and associated mac addresse for both my pc and my wife's laptop.
My router Zyxel 660HW Firmware V3.40(PE.11) | 05/22/2006.

I had a similar problem using the onboard NIC of an "older" motherboard I had (AOpen AX4C Max). It didn't matter what I was using, the network connection would just drop and the only way to get it back was to reboot the PC. As soon as I disabled the onboard NIC and added a PCI NIC the problem disappeared. Give that a shot if you have a PCI NIC laying around.
You can also try updating your NIC drivers.

you know, that actually happened here...i was able to get online, but no one else could...i'm not sure what caused it, try reseting all routers, letting them sit unplugged for a night or at least a couple hours...if all else fails, try restoring it to factory defaults, check the manual for that, it may be holding the reset button for x number of seconds...then change it back to how you had it, and it 'should' work.
can't say for sure whats going on with you.

You know how hard it was to put all firewall settings and configs for the router, i can't just reset the whole thing back to defaults again and by the for now it's working and Azureus just got new update and i'm going to try that.
Thanks guys for all your suggestions, i will test the new update and tell you if it's fixed.

Hi guys thanks for all your help, but at the the moment it's kinda working so may be it was a bug in Azureus (the best Bittorrent Software).
Thanks again guys.
