.Net Framework 3.0 is the runtime environment of Visual Studio .Net 2005 and the new Visual Studio Code Orcas. This program works like Java Runtime Enviroment.

.Net Framework 1.0 runtime environment of Visual Studio .Net 2003
.Net Framework 2.0 runtime environment of Visual Studio .Net 2005
.Net Framework 3.0 runtime environment of Visual Studio .Net 2005 and 2007
