First of, thanks a million to nuhi for creating such an amazing app and i must be some kind of moron for not having getting into it earlier...

I have just made my first unattended nLite install and somethings weren't like i wanted, so before i try again to make a new unattended setup, then i would really appreciate if you guys would please answer some questions for me.

1. Besides the "Computer Name", then there is also a "Full name" question. Is the "Full Name" question at this place for my own name, or the computer's full name ? If it's the computer's full name, then can i leave it blank, since i allready have entered a name for the computer in the "Computer Name" ? Also can the "Computer name" include a space, like : "Martin Hertz" ? Also the changelog states that we can now use an asterisk for computer name, what will then be the computer name ?

2. Under the user accounts questions, then besides the default "Administrator" and "Guest" accounts, then i make a new account with my name and sets that to autologin and no passwords. The "Guest" account is "Deactivated" by default. Is that fine to leave it "Deactivated", since i don't use a "Guest" account ? The built-in "Administrator" account is by default "Enabled". Is this fine to leave it enabled, if i don't want to see an account named "Administrator" besides my own user account, or do i have to deactivate it, then.

3. Can i just choose to not answer the questions for computer name and workgroup name, and will the install then just use the default values when i use "hide pages" ? Or do i have to fill them in, as else those dialog boxes will come up during the install ?

Thanks in advance.

Martin.

I think that Computer Name and Full Name are required, just enter something like 'Computer' and 'MH'. I leave Workgroup blank (it automatically becomes WORKGROUP) and I think that the computer name can contain a space in XP and later (I'm not sure about 2k).

An Administrator account is always necessary, although you can rename it, and deactivating the Guest account is a good idea for security.

Hope this helps.

Thank's for your reply, mate smile.gif

For other's reading this, then i have found out that the "Full Name" besides the "Computer Name" is the "Owner" i.e. your own name and is displayed in the "Registered To" field under "System" properties.

I have found if I don't activate the guest account I unable to access computers on my LAN. I do assign a password to guest account for some security. I didn't now about workgroup was default because when you run the network wizard it assigns mshome are something like that as default.
