What kind of cable I need to buy to watch in my TV what I'm doing on my laptop

depends on the laptop. you should have an s-video out port on your laptop. so you will need an s-video cable for that. now my tv doesnt have an s-video in so i bought an s-video to rca adapter which allowed me to connect to my tv.

If it's an LCD TV you can probably just use a regular VGA cable. Some plasma TVs have that option as well. I'm not sure about DLP but I would think they might too.

look around for S-Video to RCA cables, those are most common, and your laptop should have an S-Video out. if not, there may be a VGA to RCA cable, although no bets, i've never seen one.

i think i've only seen one laptop without s-video...but it was fugly and old.
