Well, what's your setup? I'm curious. I'm using a laptop, so I have only one screen - the built in one - but I sometimes connect another when there's another available. I do use virtual desktops though. They're the next best thing in my opinion.

At home I have 5 monitors not including laptop screens, 7 desktops, 4 laptops. Though the desktops are slowly being retired and eventually I will have just one. and a couple of laptops.

I can see where that would be a problem!

What do you do? Move the monitors from one box to the next?

One 19" monitor, one desktop system, one server system, and one laptop.
The server is only accessed through Remote Desktop... so that might count as a virtual desktop.

i've got a KVM switch for switching between linux and windows down here so i only have one monitor, i've got another monitor upstairs for the workstation...
if i feel really compelled, since 2 of my 3 computers have dual display cards, i can bring one monitor to another computer.

I'm happy with my
TH2Go using three monitors for my workstation. All other computers either have their own monitor or share one.

well some the computers i dont use but the problem isnt the monitor usually its the fact i dont have enough working ps2 keyboards, you see its kinda annoying to use a keyboard of which the ASDFGHJK jeys dont work or the space bar doesnt work. but i got a kvm now

Well in my opinion it's way easier to move keyboards than it is to move monitors. But yeah, crummy keyboards are a pain. Especially if you've been typing... and didn't realize.. and then look up... an t look lithi . ndis mes e up.

Tried using virtual desktops before but kept losing things, gonna stick with my one cluttered desktop.... until I get that 2nd monitor, then the clutter can spread!

1 "desktop" in use, 1 desktop down for repairs, 1 mac desktop never hooked up, 6 notebooks.

Actually, you know what? You could probably find some place somewhere where they recycle computers where you could get some keyboards for next to nothing. Or post an ad somewhere asking if anyone has spare keyboards.
