I need a hd drive for a Thinkpad 380z laptop. How do I find out if whatever one I get is compatible?

Is there some sort of setting in the bios that limit the capacity of the drive? The cappacity that it will support?


And no. Getting an exact model of the original factory installed drive is not an option. Very rare.

According to the service manual, it supports a maximum capacity of 6.4gig.
