AnythingIT

Brief Description:

AnythingIT is a site where IT professionals and the every day user can come together to ask questions or learn from eachother.

Register and have tools that let you check your POP account through our webmail portal, check the most recent technology news, post to our forum and a whole lot more.

One thing that our site has that no other does is the "AnythingIT Professional." What is an AnythingIT Professional? When a member has made it apparent that they are truely a professional and their suggestions are always correct they will be recognized as an AnythingIT Professional. This allows new or novice users to trust the validity of a reply from an AnythingIT professional. If you feel you deserve this distinction please let us know and we will be happy to overlook your posts and decide.

Want free tech support or need help with unattended installations (CD and RIS)? Just want to chat? Want to show off your graphics skills or your website? Maybe you have something you want to sell or trade? Do all of this and more in our forums!

My intent was to put forward my feeling of MSFN being my source for thoes kinds of issues, and i wish un4given luck on his website endevours

Thank you everyone. If you are all like me you do not just have one website you use and no others. I frequent www.NTFS.org, www.bink.nu and a couple others. I like to help people so I am always looking for threads where I can do so.

b0r3d: I have enjoyed MSFN more than any other website, and it's the closest to what I was trying to accomplish, but the problem I have had here is that it is geared for the standard home user. I wanted a community where professionals can get help. All too many times has a reply to something I said been, "Well, most of the people here don't work in a corporate environement so that doesn't matter to them..." Well, now there's a place for people like me to discuss the more professional topics such as RIS, Active Directory, SMS, and anything else you want to group in this catergory. I only recently stumbled across MSFN and I have made it my new "favorite" of all of the forums I go to. I love MSFN and I will still be here every day, I just wanted a place for the questions that will never get answered here. (look back through my threads at the couple questions I have asked, and you will see that there were no answers. Go to NTFS.org and you will see the same thing.)

XPerties: I love the hosting. Fast, reliable and has all the tools I need. Thank you for your help getting me set up. Keep up the good work here!

I just wanted to add that this is the only site that would allow me to post this! N30W1N sucks! NTFS had a bit of a problem with it too. I will have an open policy on my site as well that allows for people to post their sites as well. I am adding links to the front page and MSFN is going to be the first.

I think it's a good lookin site. Like you I have a number of places I like to visit and I will add that one to the list. MSFN has also been a great place to hang out and all users seem to enjoy it here. That says a lot for it's users and staff.

That logo was done by someone from this site. I asked him to create something simple. I am not graphically talented so if you would like to submit an idea I would most greatly appreciate it. I do not have the access to do so at this time, but I will set up an FTP account for any submissions to be uploaded. Thanks!

I decided to enable avatar uploads for my site now...

I know that I have had a good amount of hits come from here, and I appreciate you guys letting me post my link here. MSFN is featured on my home page in LINKS.

I know it's not a lot, but I am up to 12 members! (minus the two that are mine)... I have been working hard to get content on the site.

alright everyone... Thank you all for visiting my site, and for some of you who became members...

I have made a major change, and that was dumping PHPNuke and PHPbb. Both are nice programs, but the plans I have for this site do not fit well with these two. I have setup the new boards using Invision and I am working up the money to purchase VirtuaNews.

Well I told him a way you can add a portal connected with the Forum called IPDynamic lite which comes with the Invision Power Board 1.2 software.

ViperSnake: I installed it, but I am still looking at getting VirtuaNews, or possibly IBf Portal if I can find it.
