Tested lightscribe and it is fully working as well. Finally in nero 8 it is done as it should be: prepare-burn-flip-done.

Would LS work even without cover designer?

I want to apologize for my bad english, but my mother tongue is spanish, not english.
I´m new with Nero Lite but once I tried, never tried the full version again
I just want to ask one thing.....It is possible to make a "micro" version with NERO RECODE inside?...I found it very stable, fast and with better quality than dvdshrink (his original author, if my information is correct, is the person in charge of NR now )

Nero Micro Euro Version - Polish language is missing. Can you update the "setup.exe" for that language?

Polish language is included. However Polish language uses a different codepage, so maybe thats why its hidden. You can force installation of polish language using the commandline option

I'll take a look at the new recode very soon, I had it working with 7.5 Lite.

Yes please, darks0ul, test it and you will see, the new version included in Nero 8114 fixes a problem that i had with audio and subtitles selection in the main menu, and it´s fast, very fast
And of course, if u could help Acheron to make a new Nero Micro with NR2 "onboard" I think people will really apreciate it.

@arom: Check this file CoverEdCtrl.ocx from Nero (6.092.072 bytes, 05.11.2007) in Nerodir\Nero CoverDesigner\ (rename the original to be safe...) then Labelflash works OK for me.

@Acheron, I had some trouble with installation of Lite version on 1 computer of 3 (generating of activation context for NeroFileDialog.dll, CoverEdCtrl.ocx and NeroDigitalExt.dll was unsuccessful), and my head was thick smoking for 2 days , but your work is great.

thank you very much for your work - i use nero lite already with version 7
i just download the nero lite 8.01 and install it on a Dell Latitude D430.

This notebook comes with a Mediabase [ docking station below the Laptop ] which consists
of a HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GWA-4083N Drive.

After starting Nero lite i got following error message



nero shows the right recorder but as usb - how can i fix this problem
i need nero really as a light version on an ultralight laptop.

By the way, how did you get rid of Nero SDK? Because Nero Recode seems to need it, and I think in the past other applications did, too.

Never mind. Nero features depends on your product key. I'm working on getting Nero 8.2.8.0 Lite out tonight. No issues so far.

P.S. Next version will also hide the VCRedist installer screen when running in Silent Mode.

What version of VCRedist was merged? 2005 or 2005 SP1?

I read on some russian forums about previous version of Lite that sometimes peoples plays with reinstalling of NET 2.0, fixing of VCRedist or something around gdiplus for Lite installation problems resolving.
And on 1 comp of 3 I had same troubles too. Only after reinstalling of VC 2005 SP1 and + (!) fixing it (by right mouse button -> fix) Nero Lite becomes workable on this one machine. I don't know why.

PS In next message prezioso00 have same error for Vista.

The Recent 8.2.8.0 Lite and Micro versions do not include NeroApi.dll so it is difficult to use them with other programs that rely on this dll (like UltraISO).

Is it possible to include it in a next release?

i've been asking this but no one has answered me: Which COMPONENTS switches are available for this new version?
i just want to avoid Wave Editor and the Toolkit but the old components didn't work. It installs the components except Cover Designer.

my command line: /verysilent /COMPONENTS="Nero_Core,Nero_Core\Nero_MauSau,Nero_Core\Nero_VideoCD,Nero_CoverDesigner"

So is this Vista problem ubiquitous or rare? Is there a solution for it yet or an indication of which DLLs aren't registering and why? Are you running the installer with "Run as administrator" if using UAC?

I just installed 8.2.8.0 Lite in Vista Ultimate, and for whatever reason didn't get the DLL registration issue, so apparently the problem is variable. I do have all the latest updates installed (though notably NOT the SP1 beta), so perhaps that helped. I also did a "Run as Administrator" during the install (I have UAC enabled).

BTW, I'm curious what the message during installation about updating Visual C++ 2005 runtime (or something similar to that) is about. Anyone know? If it's .NET, I already had all versions of that installed.

/NAME switch doesn't work. Registered user is always USER.

@Alex, it might be Nero Burning Rom is writing registry information to that location. I have changed all registry instances from Ahead to Nero in all setup scripts.

I didn't test BurnRights, but indeed NeroCo.dll is missing. I'll fix it for next build.

P.S. People who run into the dll registering stuff, please post your OS details and other info that might help to solve the issue.

I've successfully created a Recode 2 add-on for 8.1.1.4 and 8.2.2.0, but there's an issue with Recode 3

I didn't even know there was a Recode 3 available. How does the old DVDShrink compare to Recode 2 and Recode 3? Is it worth investing in a license for Recode 3 or the free DVDShrink is good enough?

DLL Registering Problems.

OS: Vista Ultimate x86

i tried Nero Lite 8.2.8.0 in two machines with same configuration and the error occurred in both cases.
maybe you have an error in the way you call the dll registrations.

See my last post, but I didn't have the problem. Do you use UAC? If so, did you install by using "Run as Administrator"?
