Is anyone able to create ISO images (not NRG) using the Image Recorder?

I am using Nero Micro 8.3.13.0 and although I have the "Enable all suported recorder formats for the Image Recorder" option checked (under Options -> Expert Features), I can create only NRG format images.

I don't have the full version of Nero to test if this is a Lite/Micro issue or Nero's.

I created images for both formats, but with Nero Micro 8.3.13.0 build by me, using Acheron's SDK.

Ok iv'e heard enough download nero 382 MB to do what most peeps just want to do basic dvd/cd and audio burning.
nero lite by Acheron is excellent and also NAR by x-Shadow-x, iv'e allways liked nero's basic interface on the burning rom side, but this is getting ridiculous. If you dont want all the features in nero then get another program. I use ultraIso convertxtodvd they do most i need.

P.S. i still use nero 6 on xp machine 25.2 MB stripped down with NCAB at the time.

Not being funny here i hope but there are smaller OS systems than nero9.

I was installing Nero 8 Lite 8.3.13.0 build 1.18.0.1 (The micro one) and in the first boot of the program it asked me again my serial key after I already typed it on the installation setup.

It was on a fresh-formatted Windows Vista x64 PC. Is this normal?

I'm writting this message because I've troubles installing Nero Lite silently since I've tried 8.3.13.0 version.
I've revised my command line setting once and once again and it seems to fail (attached image nero004.png). I use this command:



After this, I've deleted "Nero" & "Ahead" keys in the registry. If I try to install Nero Lite NOT silently, I can install it but seems that not stores serial settings in the registry. When I open Nero Express or Nero Burning Rom a screen is show notifying that demo version has expired (attached image nero001.png)

Whe I add serial number through Nero Conrol Center it works.

What can i do/try???

Having a problem. I've tried the switches with a .bat file, and the serial input box is not supressed. I need to enter it once more manually.
Works fine with previous versions.

I found out that if you add /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES or /SP- will cause installer not to add serial number.

Hmm, I never actually experienced the serial entering issues myself with latest builds. I didn't test with the SUPPRESSMSGBOXES option though. If more people confirm this behaviour I'll add it to the FAQ.

P.S. The reason the Serial Dialog Box shows up during install is that it's for me the only way to properly activate Nero. Because this methoud wasn't reliable enough I made some modifications in recent builds. For next update I'll try to make this dialog disappear faster though.

Thanks for setting up a mirror. I'm currently on a slow internet connection so I'm not able to set up another mirror myself. Hopefully I will get a fast connection within a few weeks.

I've double checkd that aswell, no luck either.

No way to find the right switch, al possible switch combinations give serial storing problems. And .....serial input notivications after install.

Nice product anyway, sure you will fix this.

I tried Nero Lite 8.3.13.0 and was really pleased of the better installation. However, I'm suffering an issue.
With this version, it is not possible for me to burn any MP3 to AudioCD.

In some cases, it stucks while adding the files to the compilation. In other cases, it crashes directly while adding the files to the compilation.

I tried to install the normal version of Nero 8.3.13.0 and this doesn't have this issue, so I suppose, the issue is somewhere in the enhancements of the "lite"-Version.

Is there a known issue or is some special setting to be used?
I've tried it on WinXP SP3 32-Bit. For the Installation of Nero Lite, i used default settings except the installation path.

I run the setup in this way:

I have tried this on many PCs after a clean installation of windows xp sp3, but almost always it show a window that request the serial (that disappears automatically after some seconds).
At the end of installation, the serial is not inserted and I must insert it manually through "Nero ControlCenter".

I can help with testing if you need.

Here is my fix for various problems I had with using the installer unattended:


My observations are as follows:

• If the serial number is provided by switch, it will not work in conjunction with the silent switch. It will work if installed a second time.
• My own serial number is 40 characters, not 28 like everyone else is posting. Also, it's apparently not authorized for Burnrights or Wave Editor.
• When using the components switch, "*nero_core" doesn't enable "nero_core\nero_audioplugins\mausau", but it can be enabled separately.
• A near-duplicate shortcut is created, which can be deleted. (What does the /w switch do for nero.exe anyway?)

I've read posts about all these problems in this thread, most without solutions. I hope this is useful to someone.

I think he's overworked and underpayed.

Writing a little batch file is a lot easier than rolling my own installation package. As such, thanks Acheron for your contribution!

Sorry for the delay. I have worked on fixing the serial activation code. However I don't know if the new serial entering code will work better for all users. Furthermore I have implemented some suggestions to make the installer more robust. I'm now testing the installer and even if the serial isn't entered automaticly I will upload new builds this week.

Lang=PTB is incorrect but you can skip it entirely since language is auto-detected.
You have to add /SILENT

Note all demo serials are expired now and are no longer included with Nero Lite.

Why aren't included all Mausau plugins and also the wav multichannel plugin?
