Sorry to say but I like Luna Royale by Pgase much more than The danged MS "Zune" Theme.
Maybe you can find pgase and ask him to set the default to black just for Darkside? Or if you set it with a theme file I can show you how to change the default that is set in the theme. (You probably know that though)

Thanks for the new release!
And I want to continue the little discussion I've started in 2.0 thread.
Didn't think that making a smaller package was that much time consuming. As you are the dev and I have no idea of all this I have to accept your answer and the fact that there will be no Lite version. Guess I can life with it, it would just save a little space.
So the only thing you don't like about the XPize boot screen is the missing "progress bar"? If so, wouldn't a mod of it do the job? Anyways, if I find something that would be a good replacement for the almost standard like boot screen, I'll tell you. But maybe it would be easier when I just change it for myself. Perhaps all the other guys like this "standard" boot screen?

Sorry but blue bars = bad in my book.
Luna ruined Blue for me.
I used the Zune theme forever for just that reason (plus its my schools colors orange/black)
but now Im using one called
RoyalFour (BlackBlue or Orange Scheme) but the Black graphite in that theme would look good with darkside. But im not a big fan of its start menu (no userpic + lame top graphic)

Luna Royale is not just blue (at least the one I am talking about) It has a very nice set of black choices.

ok i was thinking of the tablet/mce one that was basically blue luna with added shiny
but your talking about the default XPize theme:
http://pgase.deviantart.com/art/Luna-Royale-40772637but that one kills the start picture and username entirely
Royale Noir might work out too
http://www.istartedsomething.com/20061029/royale-noir/but i remember having shellstyle problems with it

I searched for this because of your post, downloaded and installed it. I'm unable to set the theme to "black" though. It comes up blue by default. The ~Pgase readme doesn't have any information on this. What am I missing?
And as for the "danged MS Zune theme", it's official and works without hacked dll's. That should stand for something.

Mixed responses on the theme change I see...
XPize has always been about updating old system resources.
I was never a fan when XPero changed the visual style in xpize.
Pgase's visual style was originally chosen as a last minute thing.
Now i've come across an official XP dark style logon (zune) It just seemed perfect, admittedly I dont like the orange twinges to it though.
Royale Noir looks even better than zune, but I'm sure I've tried that out before and something went wrong... will have another looksy!

Royale noir is an unfinished theme the inactive windows looks like crap...
But yeah I suppose you are right about the Zune theme.
Also as a slight thing that may cause issues the royale noir is named luna so you would be replacing the standard windows XP themes with it.

Thanks for the update Zedox.
For the theme choice, I think Zune is a good Idea, but as you I don't like the orange in it.
I just tried Royal Noir, but I don't like It... Not User Picture, Not dark enough, etc...
The one I use is
Luna Element-5.05 (And I choose Black of course.)...
I have tried the Luna Element 5.1 but don't like it.
If only we can tweak Zune theme to change the Orange thing, It could be perfect IMO.

I kind of like Pgase's Vista Luna Basic, myself, especially the subdued colors to indicate a window wants your attention. Only thing I don't like about it is losing the logon photo in the start menu.

Royale Noir is the base for Zune. It was not ready for the first launch so they removed from the original Royale theme. Now they have completed it and added this orange and launched as Zune. Perhaps an combination of both could be better - to take elements form zune to replace the odd parts of Royale Noir.

Hey, if you do change the orange to black in the Zune theme, don't forget to change the name of it so you don't overwrite the original (or if someone later installs the original and overwrites yours). Perhaps Zune Darkside?

Hmmm... I take back what I said about losing the logon photo with Vista Luna Basic. Seems he made a version with the user name and logon photo in the start menu. Gone back to XPize Darkside and Vista Luna Basic here.

HELP:XPize Darkside 2.1 was released Friday the 12th... As you may have noticed my site has been down all month, this is because I doubled my bandwidth limit in 2 days! I get charged per mb over the limit by £0.02. Now that doesn't sound much does it? When you multiply that by 4,874mb it comes in at £97.48 (and thats before they've added VAT!!!)... I've just had my bill through, and I do not have the finance to pay for it!

Hey Zedox?
Wanna laugh?
Due to leechers or the popularity of your pack (or both) I used just over 122 GIGS of bandwidth alone last month on Darkside 2.1 last month

Thats **** amazing it had 37,388 hits for your pack alone.
Don't remove my mirror though I have unlimited bandwidth and am not worried about it.

Hi.
All Good in this pack.
The only problem was that I could not install the boot screen of the package in Windows XP SP2 (In Spanish).
Tested on 4 PCs with the same system
The problem is XPize DarkSide 2.0 and 2.1
