I played a lot of Super Mario and Street Fighter on the SNES...
I pwned at GoldenEye 007 and Zelda - Ocarina of Time for the N64. Never really got into the Majora's Mask game... I LOVED the fishing spot near the Water Temple for relaxation and trying to get the biggest fish I could, lol.
For my PS1 I played Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, actually played it a few times times over, but don't think I would call it a favorite, I just happened to be short on selection and thus variety of games at the time.
Me and my friend used to play WWE Smackdown VS Raw on my PS2 but we don't hang out much these days... was fun though...
But for PC.... Half Life 2, absolutely. thumbup.gif

They made a game of that? I love the movie (ah, the nostalgia of childhood cheese, LOL) but had no idea they made a game. I'm still p***ed they haven't made a sequel though.

Myth 2: Soulblighter

Here's why (Game devs should read this):
The first real time strategy game to incorporate realistic 3D terrain (Apart from Myth 1) - you could hide zombies in muddy water, provided it was deep enough.
A realistic Physics engine - it was so cool to whatch the heads of your opponents roll down a hill after being severed, or blown across the map after a satchel charge exploded.
The bodies remained - yes thats right just imagine the blood surounding the flag on a King of the Hill map
Realistic damage - Counter strike meets real time strategy, many units could die after being hit only one or two times.
Difficult single player campaign - I still haven't finished it on the hardest difficulty.
Units get better as they get more kills - like 0.1% more accurate per kill
Units can miss - hey thats what a realistic physics engine does for you.
I would place this game on par with Warcraft 3 Graphics wise, except it came out in 1998.

It was sprite animated, but hell it was the 90's

i've only ever played a few, all FPS's. DOOM/DOOM 2 brings fond memories, then HL, HL/CS, CUBE, HL2 and CS Source. i don't know that i can pick a favorite, but for raw, fast, simple all-out-FUN, it would have to be CUBE. i consider it to be "the definition of an FPS". it's also free and open source and has won may awards.

Wow I was beginning to think that I would make it all the way through with out seeing Deus Ex mentioned!
All time awesome game for the PC.
Deus Ex Invisible War was a decent game but nowhere near as immersive as the first installment.

Other great PC games: Knights of the Old Republic, Morrowind, Daggerfall, Duke Nukem ( I don't think I saw this one either) Shadow Warrior ( I know I didn't see this one), Dark Forces and the Jedi Knight series, the original Quake and Quake 2, and the original Tribes was by far one of the most addictive games I have ever played. Wing Commander 1 and 2, Mechwarrior 2 Mercs. Diablo 1 and 2, Wing Commander : Privateer

Nintendo: Shadowgate, Ironsword, Mario 3, Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 ( perhaps one of the most frustrating yet addictive games to ever exist). Zelda 1 and 2, Skate or Die 2, The Mafat Conspiracy, Rygar, Mega Man 1-3

SNES: F-zero, Pilot Wings, Zelda Link to the Past, Final Fantasy 2 and 3, Mario World, Chrono Trigger ( all time awesome SNES game), Castlevania 4, Shadowrun, Legend of the Mystical Ninja ( second place for all time awesome SNES game)

Sega Master System: Shinobi (this is the one that started it all for me!!) After Burner, Alien Syndrome, Wonder Boy in Monster World, Wonder Boy 3, Safari Hunt,

Sega Genesis: Phantasy Star 2, 3, and 4, Air Diver, Ghouls and Ghosts, Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi 3, Sonic 1 and 2, Shadowrun ( Yes the SNES and the Sega versions where very very different but both were awesome), Warsong, Strider, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Road Rash 1 and 2 (the music rocked), LandStalker, Streets of Rage series.

Sega CD: Soulstar, Dark Wizard

Sega 32x: Doom, Star Wars

Playstation: Resident Evil 1 and 2, Final Fantasy 7, Tenchu 1 and 2, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania Symphony of the Night. Final Fantasy Tactics

Playstation 2: Fatal Frame 1 and 2 ( I have never been so creeped out by a game!! ) Tenchu 3, Shinobi, Way of the Samurai, Devil May Cry, Test Drive, Final Fantasy X

Arcade: Silent Scope, Galaga ( Play it when ever I see it ), Pacman, Shinobi, Bad Dudes, Spy Hunter, Double Dragon, Gauntlet ( the original one ) and some others that I just can't remember the names of.

Its a free MMO space combat game (NOT EVE) that stresses teamwork above all else. Microsoft abandoned it but the community is still going strong. Check it out, you'll be pleasently surprised.

I really enjoyed Quake II back then, and even today I'm still loving it. The best Quake game in the whole series.

I love the original Half Life. Better than Half Life 2. I liked the first Half Life because of the weapon vararities, unlike the second one, which lacked of weapons and ammo - Bad move Valve. And that stupid Steam client..... arrggghhhh realmad.gif

And I loved the Command & Conquer series. The Red Alert games were my favourite. thumbup.gif
