I need your help!!!

I now get this message pop-up during start, it won't allow me to load up Exlopre.exe!!!!

"The Explore.exe file is linked to missing export USER32.DLL:GSM"

Any ideas what to do. I have already tried system restore, which has not worked. I can't reinstall windows cause i don't have the disc.
Tihiy
Restore system files from \windows\revbckup under dos manually.

Thanks, but my PC is staying InValid Command

I may have done something wrong. I have typed it into "Command Promt Only" from the Startip menu. So when i type it in, it says C:\windows\revbckup

Is that right???

Run those commands (assuming you have win98 installed in c:\windows):
cd \windows\revbckup
attrib -r -s -h system.dat
attrib -r -s -h user.dat
move /Y *.* c:\windows
cd system
move /Y *.* c:\windows\system

Don't you mean "sysbckup" and not "revbckup"?

Also system.dat and user.dat are within RBnnn.CAB, so booting to Command Prompt and running "c:\windows\command\scanreg /restore" and selecting a good (before being hosed) date/time is the correct procedure, correct? And a generic "copy" ("move") of backup files into both folders may cause later confusion...

The stated problem (how did you do System Restore in Win98, btw?) is more likely an "unofficial" Explorer.exe/User32.dll "update" mismatch...

What did you do/change to cause this (just prior to failure)?

DOH! "revpack" is where they were backed up to when installed; when you uninstalled they "disappeared"...

(@Tihiy - sorry, misunderstood...)

looks like you have more serious problems... post this in Revolutions Pack topic. "Explorer.exe", "user.exe", and "user32.dll" are (i think) related and you may need to extract these from you W98 cab files (in DOS)...
