Description: SVCPACKDebugger is designed to debug svcpack section of the windows installation. This program detects all messages you get and logs what program is making this message. This way you can easily see what SVCPACK addon failed to install. Also it is able to prevent some messages from displaying though you can still see the messages in the log file (C:\Windows\SVCPACKDebugger.log). But not all messages can be prevented from displaying.

Add this addon on top of the addon list, this means this addon has to be first addon to run, or else it will not work completly.

Is it language dependent or it will work on non english windows !?
mitsukai
it is language independant...

i will upload an unicode version that supports asian and such
mitsukai
ok i found a serious problem..

it actually runs svcpack programs directly from CD, this a problem for my log function... easy to fix, will update soon
mitsukai

It sounds like a very handy tool.

Can I suggest that the log be written to %WINDIR%\temp instead? That way I don't have to worry about deleting the file manually. Or maybe a way for a user to specify the path where a user would like it written? Like with a parameter. /SystemRoot /WinTemp
mitsukai
in 2008.1.5 its written to wherever windows folder is located... also it has a .log extension.. CCleaner deletes .log files i think.

in next version i will make it write to the temp folder. thanks for suggestion
