Regardless, the system does freeze. Could be helpful to find out why.

Why do i suspect it has something to do with the Flash clock?
Drugwash
You may be right. Can't test now as I'm way too tired, but I'll definitely keep it in mind and test a.s.a.p. I do keep Flash disabled on my system, so this may well be it. Thanks for the hint! smile.gif

The version with the flash clock was abbandoned a long time ago! The only version available for now it's the one with a native clock (no flash!!!!).

So we're back to square one. sad.gif
I've checked the main exe for dependencies and everything looks OK. All files from the zip are in their place... Dunno what else could be wrong. CPU type, maybe...? Or the fact that I'm running in dual-view?

Anyway, I replaced the bundled bass.dll with another version I had around (still v2.3 but different filesize and creation date) and will try again after posting this. If I won't edit this post in a few minutes, consider it another failure.

Anyone's suggestions are welcome.

Ok...give me a screenshot, and some infos about your machine.
Drugwash
I attached an archive containing a hardware and a software report. I'm not sure what screenshot you're referring to - there's absolutely nothing displayed after launching RSidebar; the mouse cursor starts stuttering and finally the whole system freezes completely. Only a hardware reset can bring it back.
If there's anything else in particular that you want to know, just tell me.

I read your report but i want to know what version of RSidebar are you using?
Drugwash
Version is labeled 0.1.3 and the exe's timestamp is April 14, 2008 12:54h.

Path is C:\Utils\RSidebar 0.1.3\

Folder contains:

One idea is that because the sidebar doesn't move (much), you could take a screenshot of the desktop behind it to make it partially transparent smile.gif
Aloha
Hi Xstyle. Very nice screenshots! I remember Dblake1 said this sidebar worked on his XP. So I will try it too when you finish it.

And... Changing your avatar again?

Changing your avatar again?

whistling.gif Yap.....i'm getting borred very fast...so i like changes a lot!
Aloha
That's good. At least, you have something to do when you are bored. I wonder how many times you have changed your avatar. This present one looks quite OK, not bad at all.

One problem it says that
11.bmp is missing.
What can be the reason?

WOW, this sidebar rocks, but has low functionality(clock, time and miniWMP).
Drugwash
Has anyone tried this sidebar on a dual-view system? It never worked (system frozen) for me on my main Pentium II 400 system with an 128MB MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 set to dual-view, however it works fine on a HP Vectra Celeron III 633 with an 8MB Intel 815 videocard (single display). blink.gif Both systems run Win98SE with Uberskin, no KernelEx.
specialbao1
Did it report an error.Or it might not be compatible with dual view
Xstyle
I can't test t on dual view...don't have the resources....so...didn't tested on this matter! whistling.gif
eXtremeDX
it doesn't hook the second screen smile.gif

hook problems, remember, to hav compatible dual screen sidebar, don't stick it to right side and make it draggable
