Hi Aaron. I think this is a really nice site you have. I wanted to check with you before I post something.

Have a look at the two links below. I was trying to help that site get up and going, because these are my friends from TweakXP, where I had been a member since practically its inception. I was member #4. (I don't login to TweakXP anymore because of personal reasons.)

Anyway, the thread I started on Deleting System32 files has over 6,000 hits, and I started it six months ago. My thread on Slimming Down XP I started four months ago and it has over 4,500 hits. This from a site that has about 200 members. I linked it to a couple of other tweaking sites. Membership has grown just by people coming in and commenting on the threads, or to pm me with a question about them.

It is a controversal subject, but it's one heck of a draw for a site. Let me know, and I will make actual posts here. I think I'm going to like this site, and I'd like to make this contribution to it

I'm new here so I didn't want to presume. My friends at Bit-Quest know me, and are familar with my knowledge of files.

As long as it does not contain nudity or warez or discussion of circumvention.

They'll make for two pretty sizable posts. They may not fit, but I'll try to post them in the XP section. Please feel free to move them if that is not the proper place.

To the members here interested in seeing MSFN flourish with new visitors and members, try posting links to these threads on other sites you visit. They really do attract a lot of interest.

Your new friend, Bold.
Aaron
Windows XP Forum is fine smile.gif

We generally don't post links on other sites ourselves, but rather rely on word of mouth. smile.gif

Thanks for explaining that to me. I've never seen anything like what you guys and gals have been doing with this "unattended" installation. I had a hard enough time with slipstreaming in the first place. I think I'll hold off on that...for awhile at least.

But hey, it looks great, and you guys and gals should be commended for trying out new and innovative things. It's nice to now my new friends aren't a bunch of wussies. LOL.

(Big Smiles Here) ...I have my security settings pretty tight and I can't post a regular smiley.

you don't have to use javascript to make the smiles
just put : and hover on the smiles to write the code of it..
Bold_Fortune
You lost me there. Put ":" and hover on the smiley to write the code?"

When I put ":" and then hover on a smiley, I see the word, "smilie"

Okay, I'll do this this one time just so you guys can see how really cool I am. cool.gif

But I have a hard time remembering stuff like that. I was so glad when Yahoo Chat came out with their own set of smilies.
