How do I change the encircled AVI for Microsoft's "Scanner and Camera Wizard"? I've already tried some of the obvious files like wiaacmgr.exe, but it doesn't work. And yes I know about Windows File Protection...

The Second one is the Win. Automatic Updates notifier in the systray. Can't seem to locate the resource for this either.

This is all on WinXP Home SP3.

Thx.

About the second one: Win. Automatic Updates notifier in the systray
--> try 'wucltui.dll'

I think that is the one, Good luck!

Edit: Great news!!! I found the one for the Scanner/Camera: wiadefui.dll
It also changed the icon for my scanner in My Computer, which was something I forgot to ask about. :happy:

And what about 'wuaucpl.cpl'
Did you try this one?

Yes, I've already patched this file and I just double checked it. Did you see my edit on the Scanner/Camera? I'm so happy 'bout that one. thumbup.gif

DJPro,

Apparently my systray icon cache needed updating as I got a message for a new WinXP update and it used the newly modified wucltui.dll!!!

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!! welcome.gif
