Ok, so I am trying to make a multiboot dvd. I have Vista x86,x64 and Server 2008 x86,x64 integrated into one install.wim. Then, I have one i386 folder that launches the original windows xp sp3 setup. Then, I have 9 different versions of xp (with/without driverpacks, superlight, light, server 2003, etc.). The problem is that everything works fine if the dvd size is below 3.96 gb. But, even if its just 3.97 gb, i get NTDETECT failed errors. I checked and rechecked EVERYTHING. If anyone has a solution, i would be eternally grateful thumbup.gif

Did you burn with Infra Recorder? If you did, it's a known issue. Sorry. sad.gif

No, i didnt burn at all! I just used virtual pc!

Maybe NTLDR is located "too far" on the disc (i.e. near the end of the DVD track). Some boot loaders have issues like that. It sounds a lot like it's your issue at least.

Not sure what you used to create your disc ISO either. Usually it works fine.

I used MagicISO to make the multiboot menu, and to make the ISO itself. How can i fix this problem? Should i use mkisofs instead?

There are two different limits.
First one is that of the actual no-emulation bootsector.
Second one is in NTLDR.

You seem to be suffering from the second. unsure.gif

Checking the .iso with an utility to check the actual LBA position of the files might confirm this.

Innocent Devil
create new image with UltraISO
select ntldr right click for File Properties
put max priority( value: 9) for the file
create the iso
