SCO is complainig about DDoS attacks on the site www.sco.com, according to MSFN Frontpage article. It's a lie.

This article is written by security specialists to explain SCO troubles, it highly doubts SCO was attacked.

Interesting, their FTP is up... so they have bandwidth...

Why does the "Boy who cried wolf" story come to mind?
How much longer do you think this guy will remained employed?
There is a minor sense of doubt as to the validity of the claim, but all the evidence presented by some very expert people indicate otherwise.

sorry for my lack of knowledge on what sco is
but I've read the links and it really seems to be funny.
None of the security professional's think that is was a Ddos attack though they're claiming that it was.
eheh bit of a lie.

Since I cannot look at www.sco.com can someone explain what that site really is(was) ?
I've checked the google cache but doesn't make much sense to me. (esp when there is no images)

SCO website is down last few hours. Under attack again.

well.. odd its either under attack or it isnt.

Their FTP is on a different IP address. It's possible that they aren't doing anything to it.

The FTP is on the same Network device. hence the same ip block

I don't know enough about DDoS attacks, so I guess I am just gonna keep my mouth shut now

They have and were under DDos attack many times. In fact several groups have announced they were apart of it at the Begining on Techtv.

The explained it in great detail when a representative from SCO was on.

if they ARE under attack, i bet that the real perpetrators are staying silent. Rather than saying "hey come arrest me.. here i am, i confess!"
