i have dell xps system, which comes with vista home premium with sp1 pre integrated wiht few other updates from dell.

is it possible to build a vista ultimate oem copy from my vista home premium dell dvd?

since most say all dvd contains all versions of vista, i did tried using vlite to build ultimate, but once i direct the vlite to vista copied folder, it always says vista home premium with sp1?

why v lite dint ask me to chose which version i want to install. ?

i tried to build coz its the latest home premium dvd wit sp1 n all the hotfix related to prior july 2008 n also few dell system updates that will be visible in vlite.

im sorry tho is it legal to build ultimate from home premium?
how can i build ultimate version from my home premium dvd?

OK the dell CD contains ONLY home premuim so you can't do what you want..

Even if possible, by the license it would not be a legal copy. You can buy an OEM Ultimate, but be aware it could cause Dell to not offer support on it.
