hello everyone welcome.gif !

When this notebook came, it didnt come with the DVD instead it told me to cr8 my own HP recovery disc with their recovery manager..but i cant find option for creating a disc with a windows vista installation DVD..i actually intended to use it with vlite but i don't know how to make it work..

Anyone know how to solve this? Thanks in advance!!

The recovery CD it makes is not a Windows install disc. It only makes a bootable DVD that contains a backup of the recovery partition. Your notebook should have some tools you can get to from the start menu, look in the HP folder or maybe its on that Welcome screen that they use. That tool should make the DVD for you.

the whole windows Vista installation DVD will not be found on your machine, at most they have a WIM file containing their image for that machine. the base files will not be present.
