ugly, seems pretty big, unlike a gaming console
ps console was pretty slow, how are they going to manage the 250gb hdd? they need a keyboard for this

It's an entertainment center... it's not meant to be just a game console. For those of you who do not have a "Tivo" of some kind, you are all missing out. I bought a satellite tuner about a year ago that records 80 hours. Stop, rewind, record, pause... I don't know what I ever did without it. It was well worth the $500 I paid then. Tack on the game console, the DVD burner, the fact it's a progressive scan DVD player... AND a "Tivo" system. You can't justify the pricetag? I sure could.
XtremeMaC
yes I realized its not a playstation tongue.gif
actually I know that its going to be a very big hit for sony. I'm sure most ppl will buy it
its just that I didn't really like it smile.gif its a big huge ugly box. I'm just wondering how they're going to manage the hdd.

I didn't see it closely but they could have made it a little prettier I guess

The HDD is mearly for capturing video. It's not for the PS2 part of it. It's part of the "Tivo" system.

It will more than likely allow you to save to the drive. SOCOM II for the PS2 has an option that allows you to load your game from the hard drive.

I'm sure it only looks big. The Japanese are fond of small things. They refered to the xbox as 'the couch' due to its large size. Last I heard Japan was going to get a smaller xbox.

xbox 1.5 rumors

There were other links too, but I can't find them...

According to http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic:

99,800 Japanese Yen = 928.027 US Dollar

I heard so far the PSX flunked in Japan so far...not many people are getting it. For some reason I'm not surprise because Sony lower the drive specs on the final product and it's overpriced.
