Hi.

With my xp source i have integratated SP3,IE7,WMP11 and all the updates up to date.

Now the problem i have is that when i come to removing components NLite will exit on the removing components section.
Tried it with just SP3 integrated and NLite still exits while removing components.?

What version of nLite are you using?
What do you mean by 'exit' - just quits? Your computer crashes - if so post Stop code.
We need more information, perhaps attach your Last Session file.
Are you using a fresh source, i.e. it has not been nLited before?

Do you mean that the program simply just stops and disappears or do you get a error message?

NLite just disappears. The source i was using was only Nlited to intergrate SP3,IE7 and a few system addons for all the updates i used /INTEGRATE. I was using 1.4.9 then went back to 1.4.7 but was still the same.


Just realised,silly me i was tring to remove components to a source which has already had them romoved.
I've got two packup copies, one with just SP3,IE7 ect, and another with the same but also with all the updates. Did not realise that i had already removed the components.

Maybe Nuhi could put something in Nlite to check for this?

So it was removed, integrated then removed again? Can't prevent that, it's up to you.

Well come on, all it would take is a file saying what components has been removed, then nlite reads the file and says. Please use a clean source.
However, i get that whole AI isnt going to happen. Regardless, I more or less always use a clean source for real installs anyway, and would recommend doing so to anyone. Even tho it's annyoing to integrate same things over and over again.

Ok, i have used NLite on a clean source, slipstreamed SP3 fine but when i tried to integrate IE7 the same thing happened again, Nlite exited so i tried again but used RVM_Integrater for IE7 and then slipstreamed WMP11.

Used Nlite to remove Components but as soon as Nlite got to the stage where it removes components Nlite just vanished again.

Never had this problem before, this also happens when i use 1.4.7,1.4.8

i think the problem is rather in your .NET installation than in nLite

Thanks for replying. I'll uninstall .NET and then re-install it again then try NLite. Bit of a pain this really as it is holding me up a little, just hope this sorts it out. What i can't understand is that it will slipstream SP3 no problem.

Anyway, will report back and let you know if it worked.

because the slipstream, is part of the service pack installer not nlite. i think nlite only gives the service pack installer command lines to update the xp source
