No it does not superceedes none of it. Net 3.5 only contain .Net 2.0 and .Net 3.0. You still have to separately install .Net 1.1. I suggest you visit

This is true, but i found that the .net 3.5sp1 installation still writes a couple of files to %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 but not to the Framework64\ folder tho (weird)
Dot.net 1.0/1.1sp is still installable on xp x64 but it will give warning on install that it was not made for 64bit etc. I dont know of any apps that uses 1.1 that doesnt work with .net 2.0 or greater.
