So weve been using a hardware indepdent image for XP and 200 for sseveral years. A teamamte and myslef have now built a Vista image to be Hardware independent as well but we are having issues finding the "C:\sysprep\i386\$oem$\" folder from XP, in the Vista world.

On our XP image we copied a txt file with the below commands using altiris BEFORE sysprep runs.

[Commands]
"REGEDIT /S csm.reg"
"%systemdrive%\sysprep\sysprep -clean"

From the same script when then copy over a specfic inf file that contains reg info we need to connect to the appropriate Altiris server.

firm copy f:/temp/%ID%r.inf PROD:\sysprep\i386\$oem$\CSM.reg

As you can see this allows us to execute the inf contents as a reg file during the sysprep run.

We REALLY need to recreate this in the Vista world and while Ive attempted to use the panther folder to accomplish the tasks I havent had any luck. Can anyone here provide in insight here?

Thanks in Advance.

just create your $oem$ in the sources folder
uaDVD\sources\$oem$\$1\Install\Cleanup.cmd

thats similar to XP with running a cleanup.cmd
