So when finishing a vista installation, the setup feels the need to run a performance check on the machine that is time consuming and utterly pointless to me. Does anyone know how to disable this step of the process?

Thanks,

Well, I seem to remember a post here about disabling winsat.exe, so a quick search should find it. However, note that skipping winsat also means you won't be able to enable Aero, so it's not useless.
