Hi,
I captured a WIN file of my operating system.
I successfuly Apply it on my PC but when I try to Apply it on a different, (formated) PC it fails and keep restarting.
Is it because I need to run SYSPREP on the image?
It asks me to insert the VISTA disk to recover the boot but the operating system still fails to load.

Please advise,
Thansk!

You need to run sysprep before you can redploy an image to different hardware.

For example, I use:
sysprep -generalize -oobe -restart

There are other switches, check them all before you decide.

Are you capturing XP or Vista?

I figured it was Vista since he says it wanted him to put in a Vista disc. whistling.gif

If he is doing XP and formated the partition wrong it will do the same thing.

looks to me that he didn't generalize the image, thats the usual cause of what he's getting.
