i saw that on cnn. downloaded the image to desktop and then messed with it.
try this... enlarge the picture by about 300%
now, flip it horizontaly.
now tilt the image so that the figure is level with your screen.
wheres he looking? yeah.. right at the camera. applied various filters to the image also, the "blur around the figure" is actually rain or some other liquid on the camera, it can clearly be seen as a droplet under the small square window to the side of the picture.
note also, the figure is actually using not an ancient door, but a modern fire escape, actually using the pushbar. a ghost wouldnt know how to use it, or infact interact with it (going by how ghosts are supposed to behave) the ghost would act as if opening the door that was there during its time of life.
also, looking at the image, the "ghost" is standing as if trying to keep himself inside the building, his body is in the building, his arm outreaching to push the door out from its INNER edge, you dont open a door like that, you push it from its outer edge furthest from the hinge, pushing it from the side he is is hard work. you would only do that if trying to keep out of view or something... while self conciously keeping an eye on the camera that is surveying him.
The doorway he is in also looks fairly modern. note to the side of it remains in the brickwork of a much older arched doorway. Now castles such as this are always like that, full of old bricked up rooms and doorways, old window arches etc from years of renovation, modernisation, extensions and changes. but as i said, the doorway he is in looks modern, it is not a small narrow doorway built for shorter people as most ancient doors are in such buildings, it is a fairly modern size and shape. now why would a ghost be using it?
if you ask me it is just a member of staff opening the door who hasnt owned up. they do have staff walking around in period costume in the building after all.

bbc news were showing the full footage.. very freaky.. i think it was henry's beheaded wife with an oversized onion as her head.. bizarre.. whatever/whoever it was steps right out the doorway.. the image you've seen is actually the first frame of the footage.. shame i didnt have my capture card set up :/
