Hi,

I want to know if there is way to keep track of visitors to any site without using one of those codes from other websites. I do not want to offer links to other sites and thats why I am not even using adsense as of now.

I want the entire site to be crawled first.

Is there any other way, like from Google Webmaster Page or any other similar site?

Just so it's clear, are you asking to track the number of visitors of any site (such as MSFN) or for your personal website(s)? If it's for your personal website(s), you should look into using PHP to code a simple counter.

A few places to start off:
http://www.stevedawson.com/article0007.php
http://www.developingwebs.net/phpclass/hitcounter.php

These will be run on your website and WILL NOT link to any other website (as requested).

Also, [ Moved ].

Hi,

Thanks for the links. They are extremely useful. However, one requires some knowledge of PHP before using the codes. But still the readme files have provided enough info so that even a layman can figure it out with a bit of concentration. It even has other ready mande codes for tracking Bot crawls etc. It is a great help.

Meanwhile I found another site that provides the same:

http://www.doheth.co.uk/codelair/php-mysql/hit-counter#basic

This also has some good ready to use codes.

Thanks again and have a gr8 weekend
