Hi
I am using WPI v7.7.0 (theme is Evil_Vista) / Windows XP pro SP3
I used "post_$oem$" copied into the $oem$ folder and VPI into the root together with the others win folders.
I created a list of 21 soft to install. I ran everything in a virtual machine Sun Virtualbox
When finish to install winxp sp3 and user is already auto-logged and the desktop is running,
the installation start with Office 2007 Corp.Ed ("%wpipath%\Install\Office2007\setup.exe" /adminfile Unattended.MSP)
After a long silent installation of office 2007, nearly the end it pop up with the follow error message:
Could not open History File

Sorry I though my WHOLE post went through...
This is a common error due to application error reporting in Internet Explorer.
How old is your run_wpi file?
We instituted fixes for this awhile ago.
However, it seems to me that your setup is not getting the fix...
Couple more questions:
Which version of IE do you have on your disk?
If IE6 -- Is it an unmodified disk?

hi
I download WPI v7.7.0 two days ago from the official site. This is the first time I use it, (I really like it!! )
The version of windows I am using is a winXP SP3 ITA
I slipstreamed the SP3 few months ago, while the updates and fixes come from 3 days ago.
IE is splipstreamed like all the others fixes and is ver. 8.0.6001.18702
If I understood could be a problem with my fixes in particular IE?
I am not a programmer but a good problem solving.... (perhaps I create problems!!)
I'll try to to some sort of analysis an see..
I 'll give you updates
cheers and thanks

Glad you like WPI so much
Now do me a favor=
Before WPI runs add this into a .reg file and execute it
CODE
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Disable Script Debugger"="no"
"DisableScriptDebuggerIE"="no"
Then run WPI with Office 2007

Are you launching with WPI.exe or WPI.hta? Use the .exe.
Is there a reboot somewhere before Office gets installed?

Hi
No there is no reboot. At the end of windows installation, if I do not remember wrong windows desktop start and after WPI.hta start.
I use WPI.hta.
I downloaded the package from the official site and decompress it
there is just WPI.hta in the folder
I download all the tools provided for the different type of installation, themes, etc.
I am using the POST_OEM.
"rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection RunWPI.inf,,1,N" (cmdlines.txt)
( do I need to switch to another type?)
Where I can find the EXE file?
thanks
