Cutting the long story short... I have formatted my stock dell inspiron 1320 which that includes the partition label 'Recovery' [hoping to downgrade from Vista to XP, however critical drivers required are not available in XP... arrr.... so am switching back to Vista
]The OEM installation DVD that comes with the machine has weird drivers that somehow gotten my lappy to run but not the correct drivers for my devices. [Pretty much a prefectionist myself] I am hoping to get back the factory restore image to run on my lappy just like it was fresh outa of the box.
Thankfully I have made a copy of all the files & folders from the "Recovery" partition before preforming a clean format. But am not sure of the steps on how to do it in getting back my factory default.
Can someone advise me or perhaps other alternative solutions?
