Uses a Install Shield installer but the usual install.iss trick doesnt seem to install anything at all.
Anyone got around this?

If you run the installer with the -R switch it will leave a .ISS file either in the WINDOWS folder or the directory of the installer.
Then you run SETUP.EXE -S afterwards and it will install silently. However, my install got borked somehow, ATI MMC didn't function afterwards.

Yeah I done that but when runing the install afterwards with the setup.iss nothing happens at all. Nothing gets installed

Well, I'll get back to ya. I'm doing something with ATI Multimedia Center right now.
Why don't you post SETUP.ISS file, let's compare and see if there is something different , or WRONG

I have no idea what these GUID codes are for, but here's mine:
There are some differences besides the fact that I didn't install EAZYSHARE. Note that I got warning notices for not installing UCI (wtf) and not having a DVD drive.

I have AIW 9800 Pro... Tried this.. doesnt really work out well for me.. but there are two things required to be installed before you install MCC.
First - DAO MDAC for MMC
Second - DVD Decoder
Third - MMC
DVD Decoder is a real bitc* it will not do silent install, and required original CD came with my hardware to verify then it'll install bloody decoder.

Let me tell you, for some strange reason, running setup.exe -s with the ISS file doesn't work anymore. Does absolutely nothing.
There has to be some way... :/

Bump? What do you mean, bump? and... I'm having the exact same problem with my Catalyst Drivers as well, so, I'm watching the board to see what develops...until I figure out how to get the ATI Catalyst and the SBLive! 5.1 Drivers to silently install, I can't finish off my unattend CD...

And I still cant get this working. I've followed the guides here to the letter. Got the method working countless times except for this onw :/

Jan 30 2004, 03:16 PM
If it helps, I used SETUP.EXE -S -R to create the ISS file.
Then I put SETUP.EXE and SETUP.ISS together in one folder and packaged them together with IExpress (type in iexpress.exe at the Run Window)
Then I execute the install via RunOnceEx keys.
