So does anyone know the "release date" for HL2? They keep pushing it back so it's kind of hard to keep up with.

I'm guessing "when its done" is the release date.

A friedn of mine already finished the game. And he doesn't understand why are they pussing it so far back.. since its almost complete, except the bosses are missing and some texturez are replaced by ERROR signs..

Till that time comes, I'm praying they don't "lose" their source code.

i'm not against downloading stuff...

but downloading source code is just wrong. Fully compiled programs, sure, don't get caught. But Source Code? It takes a programmer to understand that. You're obviously not.

Don't download that thing. Wait and enjoy the full unaltered release. Do you really want to play a cripple?

And it's taking so long to release, because of people like you who are downloading it. They're completely rewriting the engine of the game and all of the networking and multiplayer protocols, because of anxious bastards like you. And the whole source wasn't release, just a good chunk of it.



I hate people like you. Don't download the source code unless is GPL or something like that.

don't just dl it for fun. cause u, by yourself, won't be able to do much about it, except sharing it. and that hurts valve/steam/etc..

Ive heard that the HL2 release date is sometime in July, but thats just a rumor ive been reading around the net so it might not be true, but ive also heard that we wont hear more till after E3 in May so who really knows
