Instead of the .exe use the extracted alcohol.msi with /QBR switches.

/QBR ???what is this?
XtremeMaC
yes what the heck is qbr????
Westi
Taken from MSFN's Unattended XP CD woot.gif

Use "alcohol.msi /QBR" to install silent with no question to reboot.
Work's with sunjava 1.5, too.

In Germany we say:
If you can read you're in advantage whistling.gif
XtremeMaC
i don't see the /QBR in that page????
and i'm not drunk!
Westi
You're right. The site has been changed.
But believe, if you use /QBR with .msifiles everything is fine.
Aaron
Westi, /QBR was never on the main site (I know, cos I maintain it)

What does the 'R' do though?

edit:

QUOTE
/q [n|b|r|f]The /q option is used to set the user interface level in conjunction with the following flags:
q or qn creates no user interface
qb creates a basic user interface
The user interface settings below display a modal dialog box at the end of installation:
qr displays a reduced user interface
qf displays a full user interface
qn+ displays no user interface
qb+ displays a basic user interface

To keep it offtopic newwink.gif
I often use "/QB!" to hide the cancel button.
The documentation of the Q switches seems quite inconsistent.
