Hi All,
This seems strange to me but i've been getting a "access is denied" message on my win 98 machine (HP) since 2 days whenever i try to access my e-mail through Outlook Express also the same happens when i try to access Control Panel, My Computer, msconfig and many other applications even in safe mode
so far i've tried scanreg /restore -- failed
tried unplugging cable modem (thought might be a hacker) -- failed
i am out of ideas PLEASE HELP

(NOTE : trying to access msconfig says cannot access memory in module kernel32 ............... and some numbers)

have you thought of virus or spyware?
i know some virus disables msconfig, it was one of the latest one's i believe
go to symantec.com and check for viruses if u don't have a anti-virus program
and dl spyware tools...
