hi i just read your sig. Its tremendous!
could u actually copy and paste the working copy?
beppemito seems to be having problems..
how are u testing it? is it in real/virtual/vmware pc?
Certainly! This site has helped me build an awesome install CD...the least I can do is help others with the small bits of knowledge I've acquired thus far...

BTW...the version of A120% I've got is; ProductVersion=1.4.7.1005
Here's the relevant snippet of my "start.cmd" file:
=======
ECHO.
ECHO Installing Alcohol 120%
ECHO Please wait...
start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\Alcohol_120\setup.exe /qn Reboot=Suppress
ECHO.
ECHO Registering Alcohol 120%...
REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\Alcohol_120\register.reg /f
======
What prompted the posting of this thread was a typo in the last line of this...
(junk line--don't use) REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%
|Install\Applications\Alcohol_120\register.reg /f
That "|" (basically a capitalized "\"), kept kicking me out of the .cmd file...
The relevant register.reg file this refers to;
======
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]
"UserName"="Me"
"Company"="Me, Inc."
"SerialNo"="Bla-bla-bla-bla......."
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol 120%\Info]
"UserName"="Me"
"Company"="Me, Inc."
"SerialNo"="Bla-bla-bla-bla......."
=======
I included both entries in the .reg file, as I wasn't 100% sure of which to use. It hurts nothing to have both in there, and it was easy enough to copy/edit from "CURRENT" to "LOCAL".
As this was kicking me out of the .cmd file, before I got to the end of it (where the loop that nukes the install folder lives), I had the folder/.cmd file/.reg file still on the hard drive. I was testing on a spare drive, so what I did was just copy the part of the .cmd file that failed into a new batch file (start2.cmd), and ran it directly from that. So I'm testing in "real" mode.
When I found my typo, I edited the original .cmd file accordingly (on my main hard drive) so it's correct for my next cd burning attempt.
I've still got some apps left I need to figure out silent installs for (they install fine, but boxes pop up asking for various things ("Do you want to install? Where?" Run the program now?, etc...")
Those particular apps are:
Sandra 2004 Pro
WebTemp 3
Motherboard Monitor 5351
Aida32 v393
As you can see, these are all "diagnostic" files...I plan on using this unattend cd frequently for quick format/installs when writing reviews for graphics cards, motherboards, etc...at the website I write for.
Using ideas found here (this site), I was able to integrate the html editor I use into the XP cd as well (Macromedia Homesite 5). I'll add that info in the correct part of these forums for anyone interested in that...

"hi i just read your sig. Its tremendous!"
Thank you!
It's been a "work in progress", and also a test bed for several products I've reviewed. Since the article I linked to in my sig was written, I've added;
Front bezel upgrade w/ USB ports EL wire lighting (the "contest" is long since over..so don't "enter"...LOL)
LED side panel fan (I removed the "Fireball" part, after the article)
CPU waterblock upgradeUT2003 front bezel decalLighted case feetPSU upgradeWhat it looks like now (pic from the PSU article)....

It lights up the whole room pretty well now....
Cheers!
