trying to test my dvd with virtualpc2004 and get this error every time

error booting from cd/dvd
press any key to reboot

i use the same thing as in the guide:

start cdimage.exe -lAIODVD -t04/09/2004,11:00:00 -b\loader.bin -h -n -o -m \AIO-DVD D:\AIODVD.iso

any ideas.. no.gif

How large is your DVD image? If above 2gig VPC 2004 wont boot.
Probably try Daemon tools or Alcohol.

damm 2gb limit
i dont have any dvdrw to test it with...

witch ones would be better never used em before + or the -?

I have a DVD+RW drive. I like it so far. The one I have is the Liteon LDW-401S.

like Maverick already said you don't need to burn it to test it.
Load the ISO onto a virtual drive using Alcohol 120% or Daemon, then capture the virtual in VirtualPC to test it.


as for which format is better....I prefer +'s
They're closer to the DVD spec so there are theoretically less incompatibilities with standalones. Also, the + format won't have the same issue - does with newer media on Older drivers.

Yeah sorry budd I also found out the hard way. But dont worry I have issues with Daemon tools not quite mastered it yet.
I have all formats an LG multi that does +,- & Ram & a Ricoh +. I really dont see the difference at all mind you have not sampled the Ram as media is so bloody dear.
