I am getting errors during the unattended install of Office 2003 Pro Ent. The error indicates a "file not found" error. I am using a DVD version of the "unattended" install with both the Win XP and Office 2K3 install. Has anyone encountered this problem.

Any answers will help out.

Thanks
Alanoll
make sure you have hidden files and whatnot turned off when you copy the SETUP files from your original Office source. Have you used any shrinking programs?

The interesting thing is that some of the files copied from the DVD are correctly copied to the install directory but others have a different filesize than the original on the DVD. The burned DVD seem to have the correct filesizes.

I used a DVD+RW for this exercise to do some trials. So far I have been unsuccessful.

i am also using a dvd+rw
but i have no problems with office setup.

1: have you followed the tutorial http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/office2003_advanced.htm
2. are u using the correct command
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb-

note /qn- will not work you have to watch the progress bar.

I had the same error.

You have to follow the " Creating an Administrative Installation Point"
After I followed that section it workerd for me. So try that

Does this work with the MSDN distro? I will give this a try. I tried the install from CD-ROM instead and that worked with no problems (plus you save megabytes from copying to the HD).
