Hi,

I am currently working on a website which is coded in ASP, I have tried various ways of indexing the site on the major search engines using META tags, but still to date I can't find our site indexed.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
HM

Hello there,

A lot of the major websites adjust a sites ranking depending on how many other sites link to it. The other thing that some sites do is check the keywords in your metatags and make sure your site does really cover these topics - if it doesn't then it gets moved down the list.

google usually takes 2 - 3 months to get your site on, they re-spider ever 2 months i think. it can take longer though so be patient smile.gif

In the browser's title bar add keywords such as car for an automobile site etc. Be sure to make the keyword the first word/entry for best results.

Thanks for the tips guys, our company had looked at one of these search engine positioning companies, but they cost a lot hence me having to do it.

Thanks,
