Yes, the old switch should work. It may not have differed the Setup by THAT much.

with this version the burning can be 80sec faster if u check the option in expert settings something called "provide short lead out" so no lead out writin needed! but it can maybe cause problems with some older CD Players

darn, now its 83mb!??? as if the 28mb rar sfx nero installer isn't enough already. it has become more bloated than ever.

Try checking if all of that is the main package.
For one, maybe its not compressed. Secondly, the 83 MB is all of the (previously) 3 separately downloadable packages from Ahead.de.
And lastly, if it still is too big, there's a topic in this forum regarding a customized install of Nero, with only the components you need. That person brought down size to closer to 10 MB.

I downloaded it via BitTorrent and it seems to be packed differently. The normal switch needs to be modified.

I managed to get just the normal setup to install by finding the nero folder in %temp% and going to the "nero 6" folder and running the normal code that can be seen above. I don't even know what NeroVision Express is, so i don't know if its even worth installing. What's it do?

For those commenting on the supposed size of the new version, I cannot say I am surprised by it. This same situation happened when the initial releases of Nero 6 were leaked. The installer came with all the parts combined in one installer and it had multiple languages.

I wasn't interested enough to actually go looking, or to ask the question by itself, but tacking the question on to what I was already saying only took about 5 seconds and was worth asking.
I was just trying to post everything I had found out. You can set up a silent install, but only each parts individually (at least thats what I found its more than possible that it exists, but i'm too stupid to find it).

The only problem that I see here is it still creates the NERO DEMO in the start menu instead of NERO ENTERPRISE EDITION or NERO ULTRA EDITION. But I think it is not a problem anyway. 
Yes, that works, but it doesn't install NeroVision Express or Nero Media Player, only Nero Burning Rom.
By the way, this will install Nero 6.6 ONLY. So we can remove the NeroVision Express 3 and the Nero Media Player folder if we don't need them, in order to save A LOT of space. Because in my case, the combined size of NeroVision and Nero Media Player is about 130mb! Dang! That's a lot! But in case we want to install these softwares, we can simply do the same thing to them.
this thing is a monster, it is HUGE! there is got to be a way to slim it down some how, after extracting the file it is 122 MB that is after deleting nerovision and nero media player.
It is almost the same size as that of Corel Draw 12.

I think I'll wait for the official release. 6.3 works fine for me atm, so no need to rush for the latest. I'll let them get the bugs worked out right and then release.

Yes, if it is not a site that has any other warez. But software that is not released generally, is probably so for a good cause - maybe last minute bugs, or agreements with OEMs to make them feel special, so that it is available in the retail market a bit later. In such cases, its probably improper to have the unreleased software, and still be on the correct side of the law.

3. copy/paste and Overwrite anything that is there with the entire text from below

so this method makes the runonceEX.cmd coding much simpler.
i remove the other folders i don't need, i hv slimmed it down to 52 mb

let me play a little with the installation i think i've found a solution to shrink nero6 and solve installation problems...

i encountered another bug. using the sfx method described above...
when u try to uninstall nero from add / remove it won't uninstall.
