uhm, exactaudiocopy -- for audiocds.--- www.ubernet.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=Files&file=uberstandard --- follow the uberstandard way of encoding things. you'll have awesome mp3s.

uhm, dvddecrypter -- for dvds.

CDex here for me, very easy to rip to MP3, as well as easily being able to reconvert MP3's if say you wanted them at lower bit rates, the CDDB is very good, and when set to retrieve results as soon as you insert a CD, it certainly makes ripping a quick and easy process smile.gif

dB PowerAmp is my favourite!

Mine is WMP10.

Should this not be in the software forum?

Its pool therefore it is in the poll center

i am using musicmatch it is the best
sonu27
Yeah I relise but it's not like every single poll is in this forum.

Plus this should be pinned in the software forum, because it like best AV, or best firewall, this is best ripping software.

You get me?

hehe... I haven't put my two cents in yet...

I've tried a lot of audio ripping software out there... but I've always come back to CDex. Very simple interface, simple CDDB setup, and options galore. Dump the latest L.A.M.E. encoder in the program directory and set it to 128-320kbps VBR and you're golden. Definately can't go wrong there.

Winamp 5!

iTunes 4.7, 9000 tracks and counting, plus the biggest pile of CD's ever smile.gif

My niece has something like 30,000 tracks already.

I tried iTunes and I really didn't care much for it. Don't like the interface, don't like the background processes, didn't like the setup either... I'll pass ouch.gif (oh, and iPod compatibility is only good if you got one of them - and you couldn't possibly sell me one)

LOL laugh.gif woot.gif I just couldn't resist. I hate iTunes. double ouch.gif . Totaly agree with crahak.

The iPod has a cool theory, however it sucks

Audio Grabber is one I've used

Smartripper or DVD decrypter for of course DVDs, might have trouble finding these as I know DVD decrypter is not supported or developed anymore.

My vote for Exact Audio Copy, or dBpoweramp Music Converter...
TranceEnergy
I prefer Exact audio copy over DB poweramp, more so that it is free. Like the accurate rip function. Have ripped my whole cd-collection with EAC.
