Hi, i was wondering if anyone knows a tool that can add those 2 monitors that we see on win2k and xp when there is internet activity but not just for dialup users also for dsl/cable...thanks in advance

The dial-up tray icon you see, is for a temporary connection.
Most DSL/cable is through permanent network cards (though actual connection may be temporary) - so you will only see the network interface tray icon there (can be enabled from "Network Neighbourhood" if its not already there).

Yeah but Win98 doesn't have the option to enable that....i was hoping that someone knows a program that can do that...

i don't believe windows 98 has that

Both of
these will monitor network usage under win9x. I have never been able to find anything else.

but is just not those monitors as icons but works the same...i'll keep looking

Is the only problem the icons?
Try using ResourceHacker to edit them.
