Hello. I have a question and thought maybe someone here would know if it can be done or if its even possible.

I was wondering if there was a way to customize or edit the desktop info that earlier and beta versions of windows displays on the bottom right corner.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

And create or modify the DWORD “PaintDesktopVersion” and give it the value “1”

that is the info that i am refering to. what i am looking to do is to have some other info displayed there such as machine name and maybe a short info from a txt file.

any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

thanks and have a good one.

hmm any more detailed ones out there, that have real time monitoring, like ram usage, cpu usage etc could be handy for use on my server desktops.
