Give it a few years and people will be saying, I need Another 2Gigs to make my game work.

Games will say: Recommended Specs: 8GBs Ram...

4BG RAM ?
4 64 bits processors ? It's only 1GB per processor!
Did you know 512MB on 32 bits systems lets you store as much data as 768MB on 64 bits systems ?

In fact, you should take 16GB. tongue.gif

i saw this invoice once, for a server for WorldMark. The total cost was $3,610,264. This is the kind of server that you run WalMart on.
Here is the link click here to see it.

Wow, those gotta be the fastest PC:s ever, but really is there need for 8gigas of RAM? ;D I have 512MB and worked fine till now, but some extra ram would be needed, maybe 2GB. ^^

It depends. Perhaps you have no use for 8GB on your desktop PC, but I could use that no problem (VMWare Server + several OS'es running heavy-ish processes and virtual appliances, databases, you name it). I couldn't live with just 512, my PC with the least RAM has 1.5GB (and I wish it had 4)

QUADRO FX 4500 512MB SDRAM<-- RAM just for video

Err... sdram?... lol, i'm guessing by that stature of your comment about the ram just for the video... gddr3 is better than sdram on any graphics card wether it be a quadro or not!

$55,000???? THAT'S IT?!

Nuff said peeps. If we're talking desktop/Laptop solutions and not supercomputers that are impractical for home use, then this is the one... Bar none.

Dude. You're responding to a post 2 years ago.

Anyway. What's the most expensive computer now?
fishman360
Frankly speaking I paid little attention to the expensive laptops, I usually watch those cheap ones.
IcemanND
A system along those lines was already mentioned in post 33.

I guess this topic will never die, someone wakes it up once a year.
