I have 98SE installed will all the m$ updates with sp2.0Beta3 installed over sp2.0Beta2 installed over sp 1.62 and the USB card reader's drivers installed. Windows sees it as a USB Mass Storage Device under the Device Maneger, but it's not located in "My Computer" Any help is valued.

Hi, Welcome.

And you've already tried using it, inserting something does not then make it appear in Mycomputer w/ a letter assigned......... You've right-clicked it in device manager / properties for some way/setting to assign it a letter......you've tried switching slots if possible..... you've already hit windows update/installed its usb supplement: http://www.compucheap.com/dl/usb.zip

Basic troubleshooter towards the bottom, for a random brand & type(correct way to insert, yadah): http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:CjE06...+a+letter&hl=en

and here: http://www.iomega.com/support/manuals/foto...t.html#NoLetter

let us know........

I guess the problem started cause I assumed 98 had usb storage support built in like XP cause after I deleted it out of the device manager and installed it clean, it worked, sorry for the trouble, thanks.
