Hi

can anyone say me why the setup tells me that the shell32 is not a valid Win32 application? i only insert the Dialogs, menus and String tables with the PE Resource Explorer ( ) and with Resource hacker the textes! (the numers and textes are from the shell32.dll.mui! when the english textes are in the new shell32 i replace the available german textes from the Xp Shell32.dll! (only replace! i don't add anything!) and then.. after that very very very hard work the setup tells me its not a valid application! one minute after this message comes a errorlog with some networkkomponents errors! can anyone help me?

no servicepack.. its from longhorn build 4074 i386 version and for the German language!

i hv bad news for u boy.

kb890047 will over write your longhorn shell.

kb890047 contains a updated shell32.dll 3 of them.

so better luck next time

whats wrong? i says only that the shell32.dll file from longhorn is and so there are no updates available! also whats wrong?

You cannot Use Longhorn Shell32.dll on Windows XP

i know... i want to use it on longhorn! i want a working translated file! nothing with xp.. only longhorn.. i want to translate it!

Than unless you have a dergee in advance programming language
your out of luck. You would have to know how to recomplie the whole
shell32.dll, now unless you can get a copy of a What ever Language
version of Longhorn, stop whinning and try to find a fix to your problem,
your self.

i found something new!

when i delete all string tables from my translated shell32.dll the setup accept teh file! when i add the firt then string tables it works too! and when i delete the last 170 String tables it works fine! now i think it has anything to do with the size of the file! can anyone help me please?
