I'm not certain what this does, but should it be included for SP 2.0 RC2?

I hope not. Web Folders are a bloody unnecessary nuisance and it's taken me ages to get rid of them!

ADDED: Web Folders update.

Yes, but SP contains only Web Folders update's files. It doesn't try to install Web Folders. So if you removed it, SP will not try to install it again.

i agree with soldier1st 100%. consumer & home users rarely or don't even use Web Folders and I can get rid of the Web Folders icon from showing in Windows Explorer in Win98 by deleting a certain registry key.

see microsoft article 892211 on what updated files the Web Folders Update has.
