I use Win Me OS and I cannot get my system restore to function. When I open the restore window an error message appears that says Stmgr has caused an error in WINTRUST.DLL. Stmgr will now close. I have tried to enter a manual restore point but an error message appears that says, " Cannot create a restore point. Restart your computer and try again". Restarting my computer does not change anything. Can anyone help me find a solution to this problem?

Did you do the Windows Updates? The first thing it installs is a patch that fixes bugs in System Restore. Without that patch it won't work.
