my windows 98 fe is black in the the bar where the quick launch icons are any way to fix that without formatting?

shawn604_3, are you really using Win98 FE [1st edition v4.10.1998] or Win98 SE [2nd edition v4.10.2222]. please describe what you did when the problem occured.
